So I've kinda been neglecting my DA for a while. I finally got a job after 4 months of searching for one!!! Kohls. Sadly, I'm only getting 2 days a week as a part timer, but I'm sure once the Holiday's begin, it'll be hell. This is kind of why I haven't been on DA often because i always work closing hours at work and usually don't get home until 11:30 every night since I have to take the trolley back into town and then walk the rest of the ways home. I only have time to check facebook or read some comics before I crash.
But also, because of my new job, I may be dropping some cons. Yaoi Con because it won't look good if i ask for a week off during my 90 day trial at Kohls, and maybe Fanime, since the travel up to San Jose is a pain. I WILL be attending Comikaze Con in a week though, it's a small convention held by Stan Lee. I'll be debuting my Lady Deadpool cosplay there hopefully :]
But for next year, I'm definitely just sticking to Anime Los Angeles, Anime Conji, Anime Expo, and I will TRY for Comic Con.
But. On much more important news. Today is my first day of recovering from an accident that happened on September 4th. I was getting off the trolley from work and walking across the street. I had the green to go, as i was halfway though, the light turned yellow, so I ran for the curb. This car came out of nowhere and hit me on my right side and I fell into the concrete on the left side. Thank goodness I didn't pass out. Because of the adrenaline, I didn't feel a thing. I was very dizzy and completely splattered with blood. I was taken to the Head Trauma section of the hospital where I had some X-rays and a Cat scan which revealed that I had a skull fracture which was causing blood to seep into my left ear continuously. I also had a lot of bruises and lacerations. Because of the fracture I've had a lot of nausea and dizzyness, but thankfully I was released today in the afternoon. The main issue is that I may have continuous headaches here and there caused by the fracture and I can't hear that well out of my left ear. I hear a sort of humming noise and everything is all stuffed up in there. The doctor said that could last up to 3 months. And unbelievably enough, the police are blaming this whole thing on me in their report. They were asking me questions only a couple minutes after being hit in the middle of the street. Apparently I said I had crossed the street during a red light? As if I'd be that stupid. So I'm really anxious to file a lawsuit against this woman who hit me and cop who came up with such a ludicrous report. But thankfully, I am very lucky to be alive. Not many people survive head trauma or end up being able to think for themselves again. Sadly, I have to wait 2 weeks before I can go back to work, but this whole incident has taken quite a toll on me. You never know when some incident of this caliber is going to strike. There's never going to be a warning.
